My attempt at the Tri-fold card

Here is my try at making the tri-fold card. The actual folding and cutting are the easy part...trying to design it...now THAT'S the hard part! What do you think? This is how it looks before you open it.

This is how it looks opened and standing up!

And for those of you who are visual like I am....here it is laying flat.
Card is 12" x 51/2". Scored at 2,4,8,10, turn and cut 2 lines between the 2 and 10 score lines 1- 1/2" from the edge. Decorate and enjoy!!!

More Cards for the Kids

I enjoyed creating this card using my butterfly diecut and paper piercing. Can you see the design of the stamp and where I punched?

I was showing someone how to use the aquapainter and ink pad to watercolor and decided to make a card with it! Got the girl and boy theme going here!


Here is a manly card for one of the teachers here who turned 75! He went to Taft and graduated before my husband, Jack, who graduated in '61. He then came back and taught here for over 40 years. He has some wonderful stories that keep us laughing! He retired but has come back to do summer school. We are always happy to spend our summer time with him.




I have been stamping and having a wonderful time. I hope you enjoy looking at these cards as much as I've enjoyed making them.

Recent Stamping Things

Had some fun today with my Stampin' Up! friend Diane Oullette. These cards use the die cut "little leaves" and alphabet "naturally serif". I used the retired DP Parisian Breeze along with Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze.

Now I know you don't know what "Helop" means, but my daughters and I do! It's our way of saying hello!

The last item Diane got offline, but I do not know who the originator is. It was challenging as there were no directions.

Here are a couple pics of some cards I did this morning keeping in mind these will be for the students here at summer school. The pink/red ones that are next to each other show how simple cards can be and then how to "pop it up" with a little more.

Wild About You!

I have a few teachers who want to try their hand at stamping. I came up with this card for them to try. Everything will be pre-cut, they just have to stamp, punch and tape.

This is going to be a student's birthday card. Trying to make them ahead of time.
