BUZZ LIGHT YEAR

I thought I'd give Buzz Light Year a try........very time consuming.....I winged it! (oh bad pun!)
I like how he turned out and I wrote down the punches I used but after a bit, I figured you can kind of figure it out as you go if you were to try.

Let me know what you think! I didn't make legs cuz he would be too big!! I was going to cut out the area for his legs but then it would look like he had diapers on! We can't have that!!

It is pretty difficult to feel like its fall since we are having a heat wave. As you can see from the picture it's pretty bright outside...weather is over 100 degrees right now.

Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede

Utah Divas International Challenge

I participated in a challenge over at Utah Divas International. Although I thought everyone else's cards were gorgeous, this turned out not at all like I thought it would. Not too happy with it, but since I made it I figured I should post it!

Cardstock Challenge was to use Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzaz and Pretty in Pink with either Whisper White or Very Vanilla as an accent.

Stamp Set: Upsy Daisey
Accessories: Bigz Top Note, Decorative Label (from Holiday Mini), Square Lattice embossing folder and the 1 1/4" square punch.

I made other attempts at this card...what do you think?

Out of the four cards, which one do you like (if any)??? LOL

SEPTEMBER HALLOWEEN CLASS

These are the cards we will be making at my September Class in Anaheim on Thursday, September 9th.

I used the following for all of them items:

Cardstock: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White
Ink: Black Stazon, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant (I used the blender pens to color)
Stamp Sets: Fang-tastic, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Got Treats, Batty for You
Punches: Oval punch, corner rounder, Owl Punch, Window Punch, Scallop Round Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Scallop border punch, 1 1/4" Square Punch (for quilt card), Bat Punch, Cropadile
Accessories: Spider Embossing Folder, Two Tag Die Cut, Paper Sacks,
Ribbon: Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain, Basic Black Grosgrain, Black Satin

I CASED this idea from Kirsteen Gill, her website is www.creatinwithkirsteen.com

I used the cute owl punch....turned the body upside down and cut off his feet to make this ghost. I actually think it looks more like an octopus....maybe I should have moved her eyes up higher.

For the bat layered look, I punched out two bat pieces of pumpkin pie and glued them to the back of the black bat.

I also CASED the bow but I do not know from who and I apologize. The bow was made using two hearts from the owl punch.

And the Trick or Treat bag is from the "Fang-tastic" stamp set in the new Holiday Mini Catalog.

I CASED the quilt idea from Diana Fox Gibbs...check out her video here on her blog.

This is a 2,4,6,8 box.........very easy. You can get two of these from one sheet of cardstock (8 1/2 x 11)

COLOR CHART WITH SAMPLES

I had an Open House last week showcasing the new items from the July catalog as well as the New Holiday Mini. I was gone when the new catalog came out, but my daughter (bless her heart) sent one to all of my customers. I wanted them to see some of the new items and samples. They were so very excited! Some of the earlier posts on this blog were samples of what I showed them.

One of the things I made for my customers and downline is an alphabetized list of colors in their Color Groups. Then I punched out a sample of the cardstock and put it next to the name of the Color, then put it in a page protector.

Did I mention how excited they were??? It really helps us get to know which color is in which group. As you can see a couple color samples are missing because I don't have all of the cardstock yet.

If you want the word document just let me know and I will send it to you! You will have to supply your own cardstock! LOL

Soooooooooooooo here is the Color Chart..........CLICK ON IT ONCE TO MAKE IT LARGER, THEN CLICK ON IT AGAIN!!!

Tell me what you think!!
