CURVY KEEPSAKE BOX

Hi gang!

I am having so much fun making little boxes with our new "Curvy Keepsake Box"

It is a Thinlits Dies from our Holiday Catalog,
page 11, #135853 $32.95

Thanks to Sandi Maclver who shared that you can make one Curvy Keepsake Box with a 6" x 8 1/2" piece of cardstock.  Watch her video here to see how she does it.

So here we go!
Check out what I've made (so far)

Penguins!!

I totally cased this idea from
Kristin Kortonick.  Check out her blog here.

Here I used retired DSP.  I still need to decorate it, but the options are endless.  The framelit also comes with 3 tags.

IS IT FALL YET?

I sure am glad summer is over!

As I was going through Pinterest, I found a great tutorial on how to make these cards.  So I headed to my craft room and gave it a try and liked it so much I made 3 of them.

I used a variety of colors:

Pumpkin Pie
Hello Honey (in color)
Mossy Meadow (in color)
Cherry Cobbler
Cajun Craze

I also used the following stamp sets:
Truly Grateful

STAMPING WITH THE SENIORS

Every month the ladies from our women's group, G.F.W.C., gather at our local senior home and make crafts with them.

The first item I CASED from:

I actually made these longer so they could write their name on the bottom. And we added ribbon to the top.

The next item is a door hanger!  They love hanging things on their doors.

I stamped the sunflower with versamark ink, then added white embossing powder and heated.  Then they sponged ink over it and voila!  There ya go!  I stamped the center sentiment with matching cardstock and punched them out so the ladies could adhere to the card.  We also put dimensionals on the back ahead of time.  They also stamped the little bees.  When we were finished everyone had ink on their fingers and were very happy.  We added yarn through the top so they could hang it.  Can't wait till next month!
